Ganesh chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrating for the arrival of Ganesh to earth from Kailash Parvat with his mother Goddess Parvati.

Ganesha Chaturthi is the 10 day-long Hindu festival held on the birthday of the lord Ganesha.

Lord Ganesh is considered as the god of wisdom and knowledge, he is also known as "Mangal Murti" which means the symbol of prosperity, welfare, happiness etc.

There are Ganesha's form like Bal Ganesh, Lalbaugchya Raja, Siddhivinayak Maharaj, and Dhagru Sheth. The most popular ones are: Dhagru Sheth and Lalbaugchya Raja.

During Ganesh Chaturthi, people chant "Ganpati Bappa Morya, Mangal Murti Morya" and try to make their deity happy and kind towards them.
